Interesting trend, PAs and NPs had about a 33% increase in burnout going from ~30% to ~40% rate.
My quick thoughts would be stress on the healthcare system during COVID put more responsibility on APPs and it didn't let up afterwards.

We had an urgent care system here (OR) implode (years ago), that dumped solo 12 hour days on NPs, with a consultant MD who could be reached by phone. Decent staffing levels are paramount, for staff and patients!
