Yikes. So no PPE and maybe no influenza vaccines next fall either?

In the online bubble it's easy to shrug off as just another legacy media thing, but more people still watch 60 Minutes each week than all of cable news combined.

Everyone in Canada is mourning with, & rooting for Vancouver ❤️

Bright Eyes @ the Val Air Ballroom in West Des Moines. Great show and venue.

Federal workers are patriotic Americans and many are Veterans. Been tough to watch many be randomly fired or harassed into quitting. My biggest concern is Veteran suicide. We need to do more to protect our Veterans

@eliowa.bsky.social This seemed like something that maybe you’d share with the wider public… www.thegazette.com/guest-column...

FDA occasionally asks for post-approval studies, but usually it’s for something that got approved with relatively marginal evidence of benefit (Xigris was one that I recall) or some signal of harm. Novavax had neither and should be approved based on the data.

Armstrong said the bill “represents a misguided attempt to legislate morality through overreach and censorship." Has he signed other bills that are problematic? Yes. But am I pleased that a Republican recognized one of these book banning bills as not the American way? Yes. kfgo.com/2025/04/23/n...

Interesting trend, PAs and NPs had about a 33% increase in burnout going from ~30% to ~40% rate. My quick thoughts would be stress on the healthcare system during COVID put more responsibility on APPs and it didn't let up afterwards.

It’s the equivalent of building the interstate highway system and then not letting anyone use it. It’s wasting a generation of taxpayer investments and decades of study volunteers time

I reported on economics full-time in 2020. It taught me there are no incentives to have a baby in the US. Women in the US have to pay for pre-natal, medical and child care, earn less, do most of the parenting and chores, get promoted less, and are now at 27% higher risk of maternal mortality.
