Or the sweet agony of setting the video to record something that was then delayed because of sport running late so you missed the last ten minutes of the film and had no way of finding out what happened

Kids today will never know how it feels to own a copy of Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom taped off the TV at Christmas and you've watched it fifty times so you know the order of the adverts off by heart and you just flat-out watch them every time.

I had to buy a specific used Sony VCR so that I could watch things recorded at my parents because the tracking was so awful on their's that it was the only make that could play them back.
