Not every Nintendo is a gang buster seller and the handhelds were catered for kids to walk around blindly with and this is getting a bit too big for them
I was working retail during the WiiU fiasco, so I get being boring this time around. “Did you like that thing? Here is a new one” is what they fumbled the last time they had success.
That is not the problem, it's that people -literally- did not understand that the WiiU was a separate system. I never once got a question about if PS4 games could run on a PS3. People understand numbers.
