A concern about bsky is whether it will manage to stay good even as it grows. One of the various issues with Twitter is that a very large fraction of accounts are bots or otherwise fake users (trolls). This is just a direct consequence of scale + lack of moderation.

Joke aside, I have the same worry. I don't think Bluesky has any silver bullet for solving the bot issue. Strong and tech-supported moderation helps a lot but is expensive! Hard to pull of without monetization.
@fchollet.bsky.social said "+proof of humanity" so he never meant for the feed to deal with bots.
I think we could derive some notion of reputation to fight spam/bots/trolls. Reputation systems are a key component of fighting email spam.
And automate block lists / fighting spam
Spammers go out business if they find their efforts aren’t lucrative
So I’m quite hopeful

LinkedIn has verification: scan your passport or driver's license. 90% of 1B are verified.
quality also matters. instead of tracking members, look at tracking engagement by humans. when the core goes, it becomes silent.
