A simple algorithm to organize your understanding of any idea or phenomenon:
1. Write down a high-level natural language description of it -- the first thing that comes to mind. Don't sweat it, keep it simple, it's fine if most of it stays vague or implicit or sounds dumb.

My Daily/passing notes are pretty general & usually filled with questions.
Couple times a month i organize these into their proper files (using @obsidian.md atm), where i'll review, clear up misconceptions, and try to make relations to other notes/concepts.
Itβs like a previously unknown secret had just been revealed to him when I responded.

This process takes practice because we have to be disciplined about asking βhow is this true or not trueβ? Or, what does this mean? 4/
Or, βif that is true, what else must be true?β Or, βhow can I MAKE it true?β
I think the bigger challenge for most of us is being able to clearly articulate the desired end point.

Without that process, debates would always end up being parallel.
Mental models would never align.

2- Use GPT-4 and Claude to organize the notes
3- Use notebooksLM (google) to combine the two and extract highlights
4- Create a podcast on notebookLM to listen to it
5-re-write the notes
repeat till I reach a steady state
