I think we'd all advocate for our new favorite non-Twitter/X option. Like right now, I'd say please stay HERE and don't ask us to engage with yet another Meta app... And yes, try Mastodon too.
As a result of my analysis I shelved my post news account, and post on FB & Mastodon but donβt monitor.
I have separately conducted detailed experiments on Twitter to quantify how much the bots and trolls targeting my account have increased since October 2022. I find it to be 15-30x.
There have been improvements lately but not enough yet.
Twitter has got bad* recently but FB was founded bad (and corrupted everything it bought).
* it was never perfect but at least made an effort in the right direction
As I said above, you donβt have to share it: but if you care at all about the climate crisis, I ask that you respect it.

I recognise that there's a big audience there and don't judge anyone for trying to reach them. It's when you feed people into it that I have a problem.
I am phasing out of Twitter because the algorithm changes have tanked the reach and effectiveness of climate info there and the bots and trolls are 15-30x greater.
They actively target people with effective customised* messaging. We know form various election scandals that this works and that it is hard to discover because only the people targeted even see it. Fossil fuel corps are there
