Interesting that it’s the Kash Patel post that drew such attention. I assume the trolls want law enforcement here to be as it is in Russia, a tool to be used against dissent. I have to wonder what the reaction of the rank and file of the FBI will be should Patel be installed as director.

It was an inevitability (reactionaries do need something to react to), but I think I still have some hope here because the behavioral acceptance (and tools) is very different. I feel the same way about Mastodon as even with its smaller more balkanized architecture, still generally behaves better.

When I first joined last summer, I picked a few of their mod lists. As best I understand it, it filters shit pretty thoroughly.

I filter Nazi, maha, maga, etc.
Since then, I’ve used one block list and have individually blocked some.

But, you? You they look for.

Please check each list before using it. Many have people on the list who don’t belong there. They were put there by malicious actors to be silenced. It’s more work but far better to block the trolls you have direct contact with. Go to their profile, click replies and check that, also followers

Yeah, kind of at your own discretion list and working in an updated December list. I don't subscribe to all of them myself, but try to not be to put too much personal bias to it and will being moving towards a currated repository. Will put a open list of newly added ones and removals for all months.
