The point of my experiments tonight was to see how well the latest update from Vaonis worked. It adds a so-called “automatic master dark” for subtracting noise from its photos, so I was able to get more detail here than before.

I also looked at Mars, Jupiter, the Crab Nebula, and Bode’s Galaxy. It’s actually noticeably better!

Unfortunately the moon came up.
