I take issue with the way the targets are devised. There's no reason that Vic should be expected to build 10X as much as Oak Bay, when its only twice as large (19.7 vs 10.5 km^2).

We should be more concerned about dev in Vic than OB, higher risk of displacing renters and destroying cheaper housing.

Yesterday, we notified the District of Oak Bay & the District of West Vancouver’s councils that they're not on track to meet targets. We'll engage further & consider measures to help them reach their housing targets.

Municipalities ? How about regional districts who have archaic building codes. We should be able to build secondary dwellings for our own families on our own land but it's no.

To help affordability, I would love to see some additional pressure clamping down on excessive new housing fees (set limits and tighten).

It’s excellent to see a few municipalities in the green. When would be the right time to raise their targets? For a city like Vancouver, their target was pretty low to begin with.
