This is a really big deal! Please write in in support and ask the city to include more land in the change

Say what you want about Trudeau, but the way he is responding to American threats of annexation, the tariff wars, and everything Ukraine has been nothing short of great. He makes me proud to be Canadian.

The Canadian far-right is an American Nationalist movement.

Vote @onecityvan.bsky.social to allow six floors and corner stores and help keep more families together in Vancouver. #FamilyDay

It’s remarkable how Bluesky feels in comparison to the other place

I can’t believe it - after years of advocacy, exclusionary zoning has ended in Cambridge. We just passed the single most comprehensive rezoning in the US—legalizing multifamily housing up to 6 stories citywide in a Paris style Here’s the details 🧵

Canadian Conservatives like to say that any potential new Liberal leader is “tied to Trudeau.” By comparison tho, Pierre Poilievre is much more tied to Stephen Harper, who was much worse for Canada, than Carney is to Trudeau. Don’t forget Harper, what he did, & the influence he has over the CPC.

I’ve been saying from the beginning that he would not go through with the tariffs. But even after this blows over at the end of the 30 days, Canadians should still continue supporting Made in Canada.

For all his faults, and there are lots, this is an incredible speech. Trudeau makes me proud to be Canadian.

Nice to see OneCity hasn’t lost its momentum!

Thanks @jasjohal.bsky.social for having me on the show. There’s a lot of confusion about what supportive housing is and isn’t, grateful for the opportunity to myth bust and share my concerns about the Mayor’s surprise announcement. More housing is key to success in this city, not less. #vanpoli

Vancouver by-election No-candidates debate

Let's Gooo! techcrunch.com/2025/01/15/b...

It’s sad to see a left-leaning politician give up like this. But let’s be honest, Carr hasn’t been effective on Council for years.

LA fires are a good reminder that the only difference between me and any refugee is luck.

Posts, not skeets.

I can’t stop laughing at how accurate this is

To the Vancouver Sun, this is a pretty awful article title. Worse, it feels deliberate & agenda-driven. If there’s a “war” here, it’s a long war on social housing being waged by the wealthy NIMBYs. But you create a convoluted mess suggesting it’s the Premier waging war on opposition to such housing?

“Who’s the bigger idiot: the politician campaigning against a program that benefits the majority, or the majority prepared to torpedo a program they benefit from?” Pierre Poilievre has ‘axed the facts,’ and Canadians are being fooled by a dumb slogan | @taylornoakes.bsky.social

What’s up with all the spambot accounts suddenly following me on BlueSky? I thought we’d find relief from this problem on this platform

Does Oak Bay need support or does it need a good kick in the ass to get moving?

It is 2018. Vancouver is developing a city-wide strategy. Apartments are illegal on 3/4 of residential land. It is 2022. The Vancouver Plan is here! Apartments are illegal on 3/4 of residential land. It is 2026. Vancouver implements the plan. Apartments are illegal on 3/4 of residential land.

This is your moment, Canada Post workers. #solidarity #staystrong

Anyone else in Fairview hear the man walking around singing opera? Every few weeks I hear this gentleman’s voice. I want to know his story.

I joined my current company 3 years ago, and since then, have been hearing about an elusive “quiet season” that never arrives. This week, people should be winding down at work and chilling, but I’m getting slammed with deadlines 💀
