Having a "top banker" celebrating getting to mock people with cognitive impairments is just another sign that we have become a country full of mean, juvenile people.

Mean, juvenile, absolutely. But don't forget THIEVES, "top bankers" steal from Americans every chance they get. That is absolutely what they are planning when Don the con guts financial regulations & consumer protections.
Where does it say anywhere that they are calling anybody anything? All it says is that they can say it. What's the problem? You want to.ban words but have a problem with banning books? They both seem fuckin stupid to me. Until they call someone something, give it a rest
I'd like to know if this "top banker" would be fine if a child of his with learning disabilities was called the R-word and the P-word by his schoolteachers and academic counselors.
We've always been that country. It's always just been a shifting landscape of what out-groups are acceptable to hate
At least they only want to call them bad names, not exterminate them like was the popular, acceptable worldview for the "compasssionate intellectual class" of all types decades ago
Very true and it’s only been a short span of about 30 years where that HAS NOT been acceptable. I’m 65 and the I grew up hearing men talk like this for the majority of my life. That includes my mother’s life, my grandmother’s life, on and on.
This IS WHERE WE ARE GOING. Fascism is already out of control in this country. We now gave a 💯 Mentally ill Monster Capitalist becoming President. He is Incompetent; IS Nominating V wry Incompetent Sycophant Maniacs to be Supervisors of most VERY CRITICAL AGENCIES. This is BECOMING DISASTROUS‼️
wanker is not commonly used in the US, but I think by and large we know what it means. Definitely the first time I heard it in that context, and it made me laugh.
Unfortunately there a fair share of women. Mace and MTG are just two examples. And the orange shit stain’s lawyer Alina Hanna was singing Andrew Tate’s praises this week. A bunch of female sick fucks.
Why don't we know who that "top banker" is? Or their bank? If that individual feels liberated to let their putrid freak flag publicly fly, their identity shouldn't remain an anonymous quote in the press.
Yes, because being able to sling around cruel, immature slurs is crucial to management ability and a deep understanding of the financial sector. I just know my investments are safe in the hands of someone like that. [sigh]
Become? We have pretty much always been this way. The only difference is people stopped defending the people getting called the R word and are now get more mad at people calling people out for calling people it.
I’ve been saying this specifically, but not in the same exact terms for a long time. It’s collective sociopathy between the populace, media and our institutions. You can’t participate in and/or sanction the type of behavior we are seeing all around us unless you’re mentally unwell. It’s not normal.

What's up with that?

I'll just leave this here (from the Holocaust Centre for Humanity)
Or is it possible to just dislike people & not take it further than that?
Is it possible even, that suppressing disagreeable non violent attitudes may result in folk seeking more extreme release for em?
That's what Nietzsche meant by "beware that, when fighting monsters, you yourself do not become a monster..."
As in: 'those guys were a right lot of merchant bankers'.
Universal?
Maybe I should use Aussie slang more often :)

it's pathological. we're sick. as a nation, we are unwell.
