Maybe I'm only a casual enthusiast of tracker music, but I didn't know that you could have *that* much control over the timeline in a traditional MOD format. My mind is very much blown.
thereβs this one song iβm in love with, came from an album called Boozedrome V - Above The Law! and the tracker file for Epmiellyttv Totuus by Pekka Pou blew my mind when i watched it go. made me fascinated with this stuff even if i am still super new to it
Yeah. That was my reaction when I first got a tracker off a BBS and played the first demo song on the list. And that was decades ago. It was just incredible.
No, I'm *very* familiar with tracker music. I meant the tricks this particular track does with changing speed throughout and crazy jumps that result in unusual visual renditions.
You can watch the backwards movement in the second channel. The "D63" sends it to the last row in the pattern and then that row has "D62," which triggers the previous row, and so on.
Yeah you don't see timeline scrolling backwards all that often I think, it's fascinating to look at. Also FT2 is still visually my favorite tracker so that helps!
thinking of some tracker modules that swing by just changing the tempo every few rows. inefficient way of doing it imho (prefer loads of note delays) but it works
