Which, to be fair, sold 10 million units after the Switch launched. And that is the last push we need to cross the 160 million milestone. They seriously need to consider a price drop and release games like Rhythm Paradise and Kid Icarus Uprising.

in my honest opinion, it is a good financial idea to do that as more often than not, it give more support to the next-gen while allowing current gen to thrive,

plus is allow studios to choose either smaller size cartridge or bigger one when needed

I mean the switch lite is a good entry-level product so it would make sense. They said before the 3DS line was entirely discontinued that the switch and new 3DS/2DS were designed to co-exist, the latter being an entry-level

Sure they'll continue it but less games will come out on the Switch. A lot of companies are looking to improve their performance that the original Switch was restricting. I sense indie games still being built for the original Switch but don't expect first party games or very many third party.

Sounds about right. Nintendo always says their newest console is not meant to be a successor as a safety protocol in case their newest console fails, but then forgets that idea entirely when the console becomes successful (see GBA & DS).
