On top of the "sore loser" law further gutting the powers of NC's Governor, Lt. Governor, Attorney General and Supt. of Schools - all won by Democrats this year - Republican leadership in the legislature now plans to openly overturn the voters' will.

Under North Carolina state law, the NC Supreme Court (specifically, its 5-2 Republican majority) would probably have final say on whether to call for a new election in the supreme court race.

But the legislature itself could force new CoS elections.

NC Republicans are among the sleaziest politicians you can imagine. The state votes 50-50 for Pres & most state offices usually go to Dems, but the Trumpification of the GOP in general has set them into rabid attack dog mode even when they lose a couple of downticket races. NO SHAME
