US prices for turkey are dropping even at a time when supplies have grown tighter, signaling disappointing holiday demand as consumers continue to fret over the cost of food

Anecdotally, I have chatted with so many people who are not doing traditional meals this year, maybe everybody is exhausted and not feeling like adhering to norms
Hmmmmm. I wonder, perhaps, if there is some correlation between this and the media telling us over and over and over again how the price of food is spiraling out of control.
Purchased a 15 lb turkey for $3.99 at the grocery outlet with a minimum grocery purchase of $35. After the so-called Thanksgiving meal, I'll use the leftovers to make turkey soup for an elderly couple.
The election results have folks depressed and scared. Few are in a mood to go all out for thanksgiving! A lot of the folks know that they will loose their jobs soon. So saving up.
Americans skipping turkey this Thanksgiving because they're too busy mourning democracy—guess stuffing just hits different when you’re stuffed with existential dread.
As we add tariffs on everything else we import it’s only going to get worse. So much of our food comes from Mexico. But hey 49 % and a 2 vote margin is a mandate.
WAIT UNTIL NEXT YEAR...THANK TRUMPO THE DUMBO...AMERICAN SO CALLED NEWS MEDIA HERALDS wiiners of dance tv show as the HEADLINE...yet the truth is being deliberatley buried by trump buttcrack manure munchers in the lower left center of the pages...
See - supply and demand is what controls prices. Can somebody send this over to the MAGAclowns who are setting up shop in the White House. Maybe this will help them understand.
Yes! We voted for making a Japanese meal this year. A very traditional minded friend is having a taco bar this year and I almost fell over in shock. I think people are exhausted and have no interest in what normal means right now.
It’s really fun getting an opportunity to do a big non-traditional meal. With costs of travel & everything else, more & more ppl are getting these opportunities every year.
I think people are depressed. This country is broken with its corporate and tax free churches buying our election election. There’s not much to be thankful for, as we hurtle into our broken democracy.
I have seen a lot of turkeys of all sizes at the 2 supermarkets I frequent. It doesn't seem like a shortage. The prices per pound were very different though.
