The us won fought and won the war because it was in the domestic and foreign interests of the US to win the war. I’ve never been convinced there was much interest in defeating that form of ideology, though.

Otherwise, we wouldn’t still be litigating the civil rights movement.

The US was late to WWII. There was a fairly active Nazi movement whose job was to persuade the US to stay out of the war. They did, until Pearl Harbour, at which point they declared war on Japan. 8 days later, Hitler got stupid and declared war on the US, they only reason the US fought Nazis.
