I wish we had been given more time to talk about the issues we have faced, especially as this is the second year that I’m having to battle with the LA over transport. It’s utterly draining.

I have, yes. I’ve been doing media rounds for a year now as I was fighting the LA last year too. My local BBC and ITV news teams have been doing a lot of coverage.

I’m keeping everything crossed that the guidance will be amended, or at least LA’s will take a more common sense and compassionate approach (although I have never experienced this before).

We didn’t have long so just tried to get as many points across as we could. I was shocked that I would have to pay £46 per day to get my son to school but I really felt for the other parent who is paying £60. It’s unaffordable and unsustainable. We can’t keep this up.
