Things only live on in their caretakers.
“Rooftrees are wrecked, ruined towers
Fester and fall, fate fells all.
What of the craftsmen? Clasped in earth.
In the grave’s grasp great men perish.”
In this other scheme, we stay in place only by ceaseless hustle, only by pushing forward, by finding a new balance. By making things good again. Again and again.
