I imagine I'm not alone in saying that its driving me to madness that all evidence points to affirmation and healthcare but no one with the power to make it happen seems to care. To have chosen to ignore evidence and expert advice, and instead pursue the advice of crack pots and fascist appeasement.

I don't think there's any evidence that that's the case. All the polling, here and in the US, shows that "the trans issue" isn't even close to being a major concern.

So why are they still doing it? I don't know 🤷🏼‍♀️. But it's not because it's ACTUALLY winning them any votes.

Might be me being jaded, but what the public want and what political advisors SAY what the public want are nearly 100% of the time two different things. I wouldn't flinch to find out that advisors recommend the current stance due to media biases (since we're in every fkin news paper every day)
