"transition won't solve all your problems" yeah and neither will changing out that faucet that keeps leaking, but they will both solve the specific problems they are solutions to

Also if the left allegedly going too far pushed you to support the right, how much further does the right have to go before they push you to the left, and why hasn't it happened yet?

Seven women's ice hockey teams have written an open letter questioning the ban on trans women in Ice Hockey in England and Scotland.

I want you to read this thread ❤️

the left was mostly absent at a recent homophobia convention. the left was mostly absent at the last white power parade. the left was m

Our community is constantly attacked because our opposition is threatened by what we represent: A world where everyone is free to be who they are. They are scared of our power. Don’t let them take it away. thegrio.com/2025/03/31/b...

Went on a walk, met one of the locals

I don't care about 'who's next?' as much as I care about trans people *right now* and if more people cared about trans people *right now* they wouldn't have to worry about 'who's next?'

From The Telegraph on a career working for them, Britain's most anti-minority newspaper They really will write any old bullshit careers.telegraph.co.uk/an-inclusive...

Because you have two homes?

She's just a lefty feminist with concerns, guys!

This has to be against the Hippocratic Oath You have children who need help, you know what the best treatment recommended internationally is, they're already taking it, and you're legally required not to help them at all Really disgusting www.thepinknews.com/2025/04/11/w...

They are officially not letting trans people in this country. FYI

Following up on this. They just banned a Canadian trans musician from getting a visa to tour the US. They're straight up banning trans people from entering the US. www.stereogum.com/2303977/bell...

Cycling home and some fucking prick on a motorbike doing a wheelie in the middle of the road at about 60mph in a 30 zone almost hit me head on. FML. Probably 2m off dead

Well you gave up on that little charade pretty quickly didn't you 😂

COMPARE: the results of fighting back to the results of not fighting back

Victim complex

Expectation: - Trans women 1st, 2nd and 3rd on every podium at elite level - Whole teams of trans women - Cis women injured in extreme ways Reality: - One trans woman in coed sport at a local level came 7th out of 15 - The under 14s goalie looks a bit butch - Minor injuries common in all sport

This story really is insane A cis woman refused to fence against a trans woman, claiming it's because she can't fence against men Turns out she fences against men all the time and sometimes wins, because it's regularly a coed sport Then she gets given a load of money for "courage"

As is so often the case, its not about a supposed "athletic disadvantage," its about bigotry. TWIBS by Alyssa Steinsiek @alyssaur.bsky.social

I’m going to coin a law - call it Maugham’s First Law - and it is that nothing Wes Streeting ever says turns out to be true. 🧵

i don't even think anyone who cites the cass report as an authority actually read it. it could have just been 12,239 pages of lorem ipsum and its proponents would talk about it exactly the same as they do now

I think this is key. The failure on trans athletics was a failure by politicians, media, and the larger public to understand what current policies were, what the science was, and then defend carefully developed, nuanced policies on their merits.

Perhaps my biggest pet peeve in political discourse is when someone says "We have to have this discussion," or "We need to look at the nuance." Just have the discussion! Just say what the nuance is! No one is stopping you.

Remember: Cass is not peer-reviewed - and is therefore not “gold”, silver, bronze or even recycled plastic standard. IMO it’s just pseudoscience. There are now at least five damming, peer-reviewed critiques of Cass; all automatically of a higher standard, with at least two more in peer-review.
