Haven’t been a huge fan of audiobooks, but I did buy a couple of #Warhammer audio dramas for the Cleveland road trip. This one from @grahammcneill.bsky.social is absolutely scintillating, so far almost entirely a dialogue between two men in a church. Voice actor is terrific

Work colleague read this the other week as part of one of the early HH compilations (Tales of Heresy(?)). I tipped him off that this story was one that I still remember, and really quite important to the theme of the Horus Heresy.

To be fair those are often the best parts. Every time we hear the emperor speak, it answers nothing and raises more questions to the point it's so frustrating I understand why Mr Heresy did what he did.

That's why I love seeing the human side of the universe.

This was the short story that convinced me to buy 'Lupercals War,'when I started buying audio books (Work has me in a car all shift).

Friends loved reading, so for my first experience was to have it performed by Jonathan Keeble was absolutely staggering.

A story I recommend to friends not in 40k.
