We are only 2% of Americans. And only .2% of the world.
1000 of us being murdered, thousands injured… that reverberates.

This is the reality.
But I think this is the wrong way to approach the problem.

Let me explain:
"Hmm, it's not a lot, so less than 50. But there's some, so it's not like 0." So they drag the slider (and I'm guessing it was a slider, not a text box) to the middle between 0 and 50.
What, 3%? Nah, that's way too close to an endpoint.
But yeah, the average American has no idea what fraction of the population is Jewish. Or gay, or Buddhist, or...
No doubt most people still believe similar things, just with new boogeymen.
All anybody wanted to ask about was McDonalds and the drinking age.
I also never knew any Alaskans or Mormons prior to the West coast either. Met plenty there.
