Something can be both democratic *and* a coup.
Democratic in the sense that the people who voted for those in power genuinely wanted and supported a power grab that would result in a transformation of power wherein they have a permanent hold on our institutions.

It’s a term commonly used in countries were the President stays in power through anti democratic actions.
Voters really do want their party to reign supreme and reign forever, that is the reason they vote for that particular party.
I actually think fascist coups are the most democratic thing.
The capitalist democratic national state itself is the problem.
Everything it seems.
The USA always was a nightmare for most people in the world. But now? The US military in the hands of ideological fascists?
At least fascism will devour itself over time.
