My 9 and 7 year old are only allowed on the internet under very stringent monitoring. Giving your kid and ipad and letting them live on youtube will destroy their brains, in my opinion. I think parents in this age should shield their kids from always online tech as much as possible. - ThreadSky

Thanks to autism, my youngest's YouTube habits are mostly extremely classic reggae and watching real estate listings walkthroughs. Yesterday it was Architectural Digest's house tour with Walton Goggins.

I used to think it was wild that people were that lockdown with it, considering growing up I had basically unfettered access to the internet at that age.

But then I really realized how back then you needed to know where to find that shit. Now you have multimillion dollar companies pushing it to you

I guess I should clarify that we're not restricting like we do with 7 and 9 but screen time is very much controlled
