I left t-mobile a year and a half ago after over a decade with them. I'm at Verizon now and couldn't be happier. Upgrading to Elon connected phones is a no go.

TMobile is using Starlink for satellite communications. Unfortunately there's not that many options available. It's an advancement in technology with only a knee bender in control.

I believe that you can opt out of the Starlink satellite feature if your phone has been updated with the iOS 18.3. Go to your settings and then in your privacy mode and you can find it under automated systems.

Are ALL iPhones connected? My five and a half year-old iPhone just died on Saturday. I have iTunes and all my pictures are in the Cloud and I have an old Apple laptop. I get my cell services through Koodo (so, Telus).

Remove #Starlink satellite connectivity on iPhone:

1. Open iPhone Settings
2. Go to Privacy & Security
3. Scroll to bottom to find System Services
4. Tap Location Services settings related to satellite connectivity
5. Adjust these settings to manage how your device interacts with satellite services

I’m glad I could help even a little. It’s definitely not worth going out in that cold!!🥶 In the States, we can order a device by signing into our carrier account — or at Costco — but utterly no idea how it works in Canada. To save $$$, look at a reconditioned, unlocked iPhone 12 Pro Max.

I switched to t mobile two weeks ago without knowing about Elon and found out within 2 hrs about starlink. NOPE. Within less than 24 hrs inwent back to my old carrier. I will never ever be part of a fucking Nazi party in any way, shape or form. Ever.

You can turn it off. It’s easy.

Settings>Privacy and Security>Location Services>System Services(at the bottom of the list)> Satellite Connection> turn to off position.
