Twitter used to give me so much anxiety! BlueSky is nice since it's a reminder that the sort of people who get drowned out by aggressive trolls elsewhere do totally exist
For sure! I haven’t touched it in about a decade. I remmeber the glory days of comedians making one liners and interacting with fans. I was doing standup at the time so the engagement was really special. Only thing here I found is people are afraid to engage or reply on a personal level
I'm glad your experience has been so positive! That's reassuring - the ratio on Twitter has always been the opposite for me when I browse it - like on a good day I will find 2 people who are not trolls. So this is a huge step up.
And no one's listed for a disagreeing voice. The lists are for having actual motives, repeat behavior, etc. & People seem fairly self aware around here.
If you block anyone here, their bs vanishes too. It takes down their interactions with you, so it doesn't let them or other trolls keep going at whoever else is around. Trolls can't abuse it bc it only prevents us from seeing them. If they list us, other trolls don't respond to us either. 😂
I have not found that feature yet but there are block lists for trolls. I believe we can block whole lists in one go. As I haven't encountered issues, I didn't search how to. But that plus ease of blocking & deleting all interactions with one in one click here makes this not a fun place TO troll.
Hi Domenic,
Fellow Brown alum here. I once fainted immediately after finishing a classroom presentation at the school of public health. Must have been that Ratty fare. Fond memories 😂 (Decided to major in Anthro instead)
Oh my gosh, that must have been really stressful at the time. You're not the only one! When I was doing my MPH, someone fainted right after leaving the classroom. Fortunately we had an MD-MPH student in class who was able to help her.
Grade/presentation anxiety totally get to so many people.
I'm hoping to showcase my songs with Steve Moran which he really didn't intend because he's rather old-fashioned and didn't want to be heard all over the world.
Enjoy. I'd only a brief relationship with twitter, and it frankly brought out the worst in me, arguing the toss with bigots & crazies.
Whatever your interests are, I'm sure you'll find some cheer here.
Thank you! I've been relying on the winter to help protect me from the melting part of it all, but hey - through collective effort and small actions, we can all make a difference in the end.
It's been reassuring that more people have been taking action recently and advocating for others in need.
They are! None of the arguing, porn bots or bots in general! Everyone is SO nice here. Like a small town, except there's what? 30 mil on here? It's paradise compared to that other place!
Thanks! I’m into all kinds of stuff. I’m a DB stan, but I wasn’t jazzed about them getting turned into kids for Daima, but the story is so good, I stopped caring. Now I’m absolutely loving the series. I’m happy it’s on Netflix.
Hi, good to meet you. Just be mindful that there are a fair few trolls & bot-type accounts about, so everyone is encouraged to not engage with them at all (tempting, I know!) and to block them.

As you may have already realised, my focus is on #MovementIsMedicine for chronically ill people, of which I am one.
Needs more coverage on PT training! 😊
