The Constitution gives Congress control of tariffs. But Republicans handed that power to Trump like a blank check and the American people are going to have to pay the overdraft fees!.

This will give us all the fuel we need to have at least 50 YEARS OF DEMOCRATIC CONTROL OVER CONGRESS moving forward. THIS IS CORRUPT AND ANTI-CONSTITUTIONAL.
No. Biden had the same control. If congress wants to take away Trumps ability....it would need to be veto proof. Democrats won't take it away. Just wanna bitch about it.
Yes. It's a well-designed & executed ongoing GOP Coup with many tentacles, incl 3 branches of govt & every Court within Exec control.
And it won't stop as long as they continue to divide Dems in '26 & '28.
A massive 1936-type coalition is needed-IF legit elections are held.
Does Congress have the legal right to hand Congressional responsibilities mandated by the Constitution to the President, or is that an unconstitutional act that destroys the founders' intent of separation of powers?
Hey there, Congress can delegate certain powers, but not core constitutional responsibilities. Handing over too much crosses the line and risks violating the separation of powers. We at pretty much there.
Don’t forget Chuck Schumer helped the Repubs give Trump tariff powers. He had a chance to protect us and he failed us. Time to elect stronger democratic politicians . Maybe average people and not millionaires and billionaires .
Congress gave the Executive the power to impose tariffs but did not, thereby, shed the responsibility for tariffs. The Constitution is clear; tariffs are the responsibility of Congress. Congress is responsible for this tariff mess. Do not let them off the hook!
And talking about the bank fees. Biden signed into law to keep overdraft bank fees to $6. And i guess you follow my thought process - repeal already traveled thru the house and into the Senate. So we are going back to $30+.
Trump can't help himself. He's an ignorant, moronic, mentally ill sociopath with no economic understanding.
Congressional Republicans bear the greater blame, because at least some of them understand what is going on and all are displaying pure cowardice & failing to do their jobs.
This is absolute bullshit. We have the power. Continue along with the tariff nonsense and everyone will pull their deposits. That's the one thing the banking system is hoping will never happen. That's the nuclear button for us..but goddamn it these fascists need to understand it needs to end.
Citizens United has exacerbated political grift to an extreme that attracts the worst grifters. The transformation of politics has resulted in our present situation.
Both sides benefit from unlimited bribery. And that’s what it is. We need to remove financial incentives from politics.

The U.S. Constitution grants Congress the power to impose tariffs under Article I, Section 8.
Congress has delegated some of this authority to regulate tariffs to the President under certain laws.
Congress can act to change those laws.

1) Collapse the markets to buy low.
2) Wait for the recovery to sell high.
This will not stop until we're thoroughly cooked.
We're on the line for the entire balance!
... after the Billionaires have run off with all the gold reserves.
Which was always the plan.

This is a serious question.
IANAL or Constitutional scholar.
