Tsunku has been cancer free for some time yeah? I had last heard he moved to hawaii with his family. He also composed a song for vtuber amane kanata a year ago. He's been gradually more and more active i've seen :)

He’s been actively writing music even since his cancer diagnosis - slowed down from his earlier pace but he was writing a LOT of music then.

I have a memory of a few years ago he composed something for h!p after years of being absent there (his absence is extremely felt, to be brief)... i dont remember what group because i dont follow as closely anymore since he pulled away-- wasnt the same.

Haha yes, as an H!P fan myself he was writing absurd amounts of music so he’s definitely slowed down from his peak but I don’t think writing as much as he did was normal.

He’s pretty unstoppable! He was so prolific beforehand, I think it was the least he could do without going insane. Morning Musume never hit the virality of akb48 or 80’s idol city pop but (ironically) Tsunku ♂ is the THE guy who shaped the hugely iconic era between those two periods

He’s gone from the number of songs he writes in a year being in the hundreds to being in the tens, the man had to slow down sometime. But I think he’s incapable of not writing music, it’s what he does.
