Lamps in the sky supposedly lead you towards the main path, but that goes out the window when exploring caves, also since they lead you to the exit I guess that means they also lead to the entrance so… never mind that tip.
The lights are a good idea, in dying light they had blue light going forward and orange lights going back to help with direction. Compass being always on might help as well.
This is kinda true. I've said a minimap would be helpful but I really do just need a bigass arrow telling me which cave with bioluminescent grass I meant to go in before I went into a battle.
I don't care about having a minimap, but an optional map I can open up that only shows me the stuff I've explored and therefore have revealed, would be nice. It would work into the expedition feel.
If you press Y/Triangle, it brings up a compass. When I enter a zone I check it to get a general idea of the direction I'm supposed to go. That way I can check it if I get lost

Expedition 33 really takes me back to that time where I'd do it over and over LOL!
This game doesn't even do that lol
I kinda wish this game did that too.
I really should play Quest 64 again.
My forgetfulness to rest when reaching a flag saved me hours
