If you could experience a game for the first time again, what game would it be?
I’ve been thinking about this so much this morning lol.

When I started gaming, we were still using floppy discs, so my gaming nostalgia was Ultima III and old school D&D games.
BG3 is up there, too, but I think the 2 prior is more worth getting a fresh start on
Deus Ex comes in a close second here though. First game I played with that much freedom straight out of the gate. Yes, I'm old...
I mean, this guy …
Or, Dead Space. The OG Horror Space game. Remaster was AMAZING
More colorful/multi-player, I'd go with Borderlands or Super Mario 64
Kids game type shit... OG Pokémon. Kanto Red/Blue/Yellow
Oh, classic CoD4 campaign 🤌
RD2 was the second RPG I played all the way through. I had such a huge crush on the game (not just Arthur). I thought about it at work. I angled my TV away from the sunlight on Saturday afternoons to play it. I cried at the end.
I'm more into story than crunchiness.
I’ve been into that series since I was 11 years old, and I’ve learned it inside and out
The first time I played that game it awakened a deep curiosity about opposing ideologies and how the idea of good and bad is relative to what you believe
Everyone story has multiple sides
Be.
Tried to play it again with the emulators and it's just not the same. 🤷♂️

But going further back.. maybe Homeworld 2, or Bioshock?
RDR2, Divinity: Original Sin 2, Skyrim, WoW, The Witcher 3, Resident Evil (the original) Red Alert, Age of Empires, Doom 2, Halo!
Gaming and being in nature are the best escapes from reality.
Love gen 3. The game style, the battle frontier. All of it. Just wonderful.
Or Halo 3. My fav Halo game.
Up to that point I don’t think any game pulled me into its universe, lore and characters quite like it.
This game is such a comfort zone it’s probably a red flag.
its my favorite game of all time and the themes, audio, and visuals moved me more than any other game i can even think of
I remember the first time I played it the atmosphere really gripped me.
I watched my brother play the game when I was 2 and I had started my own save file by 4 or 5. I would love to be able to play that game and enjoy the plot as an adult without knowing what was going to happen. That story is one I feel like I've always known.
I still recall that feeling when I left the boat after character creation and looked over the dock to the water. I was lost. The graphic advancement on the water effects and details alone has me in awe.
But it has to be 2021 with my friends again too 😭
Would love to experience it again, but I love my memories from it.
Seriously, go play Disco Elysium lol
Honorable mentions to Dark Souls, Bloodborne, and Hollow Knignt because exploration is such a huge focus.
++SPOILERS++
Who would have a guessed a Belmont could be the final boss in a castlevania?? Crazy
(As would the Darksouls franchise)
I can never experience anything like that feeling ever again.
Could aspects of it be better? Yes, but it's one that I will recommend to everyone.
One because… that for the first time was magical and two it’s like ruined all other games for me hahahahaha *cries*
It's also hard to pass up experiencing Skyrim for the first time again. Just from its opening, that game cast a spell on the world that lingers to this day.
That first playthrough, meeting and connecting with those characters, it brought out so much emotion in me.
It was the first game in a long time that left me with an absence in my heart when I completed it; very fitting one of the final achievements is named "Catharsis."
What I’d give to experience the WYK twist again for the first time.
Otherwise I'd pick the first KOTOR.
cyberpunk 2077
alan wake 2
Even being in a decent sized sub you still feel tiny.
The story, characters and music was so awesome. And the memories of discovering that game with my brother was pure nostalgic
