It's so obvious. I hire people, if I say I can't pay you enough for this really difficult job I can't do myself but if the job doesn't get done I won't get paid the big bucks contract I signed, they'd tell me to fuck off
Walmart can more than afford paying a living wage. Instead Walmart pays so little its employees are on welfare-subsidized by our taxes! We are in effect paying their employees!
Iβve said for years that if your business canβt βaffordβ to pay a living wage, then itβs not a viable business. You wouldnβt believe how many working-class people have argued with me over that statement.

If the economy were doing better, that underpaid employee would have been offered a better job by someone else.
Perhaps the deeper issue is politicians and the economy not being better than it is?
