All they achieve by this is to ratchet the political "consensus" further to the right and alienate more and more of their, once, core supporters.
I have voted Lab for 50yrs but voted Green at the last election. Lab in power have made me a "never again" labour voter.

I've emailed my MP; your colleague Dr Lauren Sullivan; to ask why the Home Office is breaking the refugee convention. This is just going to depress the Labour vote at the next election. As someone who wants to see the maximum number of Labour MPs in the next parliament, this is a bad thing.
