He clearly doesn't want it to happen for whatever reason, so I'm just happy he didn't get what he wanted from NY or SCOTUS even if he'll face no actual punishment.
Convicted on many counts, including sexual assault. Does this not qualify him to register as a sex offender? Judge Merchan done as well as he could, Trump ran out the clock. Would have liked to see a token sentence to make his own bed each day for the next four years.
Hmmmm. This is their throw away, because they're going to either prevent the public from accessing Jack Smith's reports or will delay until Trump takes office.
Why the f is judgment not final. The world could be a smoking husk and still the appeals would come. Sentence him and place him in immediate detention. He can appeal from prison like all the other criminals do.
Judgment is not final until sentence is imposed. That starts the clock ticking for him to take his direct appeals up the state system. Never in history has anyone been allowed to take so many frivolous appeals of everything.
The law disfavors piecemeal litigation. Regular order is case tried, you get convicted & sentenced, then appeal up the state system, then perhaps cert to SCOUS. After that maybe habeas petitions. Not appeals of every little thing.
Every other mook is sentenced and dragged away to prison right there. Sentencing is the final chapter. You go to prison after that. But not Trump. Always another thing. You should get 3 appeals. Like challenge flags. That’s it.
Merchan should now renege on his hinted sentencing, and have him placed immediately in custody 6 months Riker’s Island. Once in detention the Governor should ignore all bs rulings from SCOTUS.

It’s not like he’s bound to a sentence. He could always just “change his mind,” before tomorrow.
Had he not won, he was on track to loose his other cases.
Bravo, DA Bragg, for stepping up.
