I don't see us making Rashford permanent. Unless he makes himself indispensable in the next 4 months. The fee isn't the issue, it's his ludicrous wages. Even at his very best, he isn't a £350k per week player. Also would cause issues with the rest of the squad and any new signings.

It’s a marriage of convenience for both Villa and Rashford. I believe the comments attributed to Emery that he rates Rashford highly but we’ll see. In 2020 I thought he would be truly elite but the last 4 seasons have been a mystery.

Emery def rates him. He doesn't sign players otherwise. He's been chasing Felix for 3 windows. The wages will be a huge problem. We can't sustain £350k within PSR. Plus, it would disrupt our whole structure. We've got 3 players on £150k. That's the top. Bloody PSR, trying to keep us in our place.

Tbh, PSR I think was because of City and tightened because of Newcastle. Countries can outspend everyone.

I don’t think the rules are working and I’m not sure what they should be either.

I do think they play a role in making sure clubs don’t go under. Many irresponsible owners.

My thoughts, owners should be able to create a deposit fund, to run the club for 3 yrs, on a 3 yr cycle, as PSR is. As long as it's fully financed, the PSR restrictions should be relaxed. Not done away with. A club shouldn't be able to just spend £1bn. Still not sure how Chelsea managed that...

Me either. Selling hotels to your parent company is just a joke.

Clubs should be able to dream. But clubs shouldn’t go under because an owner dreams well beyond their means.

United had a great title battle against Leeds (lost), Villa (won), Blackburn (won and lost).
