I have zero outdoor experience unless we count my experiences in the woods outside of my uncle's place. I broke trails, found a creek, found fallen trees, cut them up, and dragged them back to the house for firewood.

My experience is less bushcraft and more farm/homesteading and historical curiosity. (Like, I’m really into Sally Pointer videos on YouTube. Making cordage out of plants.)

That is an excellent skill. When setting up a bushcrafting camp (a form of shelter that also includes a work space), lashing is often involved - and the more natural cordage that a person uses, the less that one will have to buy.
