Even as an atheist I love these cathedral threads. Not only do they showcase magnificent and objectively beautiful craftsmanship, but they also draw out the miserable, joyless little Grinches for blocking.
So pleased, moved and grateful that we still have such fine craftsmen/women able to restore such a wonderful building.
Pure magnificence, bucket list must see.
The Catholic Church has at the least 3,213 Boy Scouts Child Sex Abuse Survivors that are Claimants in the @BoyScouts $2.46 Billion Bankruptcy! https://SurvivingScouting.org
1,400,000,000 Catholics worldwide. So, because of what, a thousand abusers, they are all guilty? 0.0000007% we should abandon our religion? Or maybe we should just protect children better?
Those are padded numbers. You count the ones born into catholic families and christened. That doesn’t mean they’re catholic, just that the Catholic Church doesn’t want to let them go for statistical purposes.
LOOK AT THIS SUCCESSFUL PETITION! I had to work with many others to STOP your child r*ping cult from trying to silence Child Sexual Abuse Survivors as the god DAMN CATHOLIC CHURCH pushed the Louisiana Supreme Court to enforce Statute of Limitations… WE WON! You child r*ping cult puppet POS!
RIGHT god DAMN NOW YOUR god DAMN CHILD R*PING CHURCH BUDDIES ARE HIDDEN & PROTECTED BY YOUR CHILD R*PING CHURCH CULT AS THEY TRY TO SILENCE CHILD SEXUAL ABUSE SURVIVORS WITH STATUTE OF LIMITATIONS, NDAs, & the fear of god & hell to rape children & not report for decades if ever!
The Church could’ve stepped up and built a homeless shelter, or a school providing free education to needy kids, or a hospital, but no, they had to rebuild a relic.
While I hate religion, this is a relic of human history and important to rebuild. Them rebuilding this does not make them unable to do those other things. It's not one or the other. You're going after them on the wrong front here lol. Ask why they aren't doing that anyways.
Well, hardly a relic, but you are right and while I am glad people stepped up, I said from the start they should've had a fund to provide money for the homeless. It did provide 1,000,s of jobs for highly trained individuals that worked beautifully together to restore it, and that's beautiful.
Apparently, the fire was accidentally started by a welder or someone using a cutting torch. I still cannot believe they didin't have fire extinguishers nearby, just in case. Insanity.
