I'm sufficiently concerned about why - at a time when tens of millions are crying out for leadership - Pete hasn't been publicly engaged that I'm starting to worry there's some kind of personal issue involved.

Not saying he OWES us, only that this would seem to be the moment he's built for.

I mean, it's only been 3 weeks. I would give him at least a month or two to rest, recharge, and strategize before returning to the public eye.

This is going to be a long 4 years, and I don't want Pete to burn out. It's good for him to get time with his family.

That's exactly what I was thinking. He has young kids and he worked hard as secretary of transportation and during the election. He's earned some time to be with his family
