A Swiss team of researchers from the Blue Brain Project discovered our brains are full of multi-dimensional geometrical structures operating in as many as 11 dimensions.

I wonder if there are any patterns that correlate to a quantum flag manifold as other researchers discovered the honeybee βdanceβ is a 2D projection of a multi dimensional flag manifold. It would be really interesting if they shared the same underlying equation.
An artificial neuron is a system of 11 inequalities and equations that correctly simulates a biological neuron. Next step is to determine how to connect the artificial neurons, so they develop techniques to map a worms brain and how they are connected, questions?
While the 11 dimensions might be inspired by string theory, itβs important to remember this refers to theoretical models, not confirmed brain structures. The brain is complex, but more research is needed to connect these ideas to its actual function.
I met a girl once every one who knew her called her crazy Cora. After a conversation I could understand why.
Her conversation at first sound like disjointed words put together. Then I realized they had a common thread throughout. Many conversations at once when put together
It kinda eats me up when they use string or m theory to try & explain the woo woo. It had nothing to do with psychology or philosophy. I just find it odd
Interesting you mention. During meditation this week, I perceived complex geometric formations, very concentrated, not taking up the entire βvisualβ landscape.
π³Are you saying that there are people walking this earth who are genuinely stupid in 11 different dimensions? Simultaneously? That'sβ¦ breathtakingly frightening.
Very "HARMONIC 4-DAY TIME CUBE IS THE TRUTH. YOU ARE EDUCATED STUPID BY YOUR GOVERNMENT AND SCHOOLS TO BELIEVE THAT THERE IS ONE DAY, WHEN IT IS CLEAR TO ALL ENTITIES THAT THERE ARE 4 SIMULTANEOUS CUBED DAYS GOING ON AT THE SAME TIME, THANKS TO THE UNITED STATES AND THE JEWS." energy.
Ok, had to read it. It's not spacial dimensions, which have never been experimentally proven. They're doing very complex mathematical modeling where "dimensions" are time-bound graphs of clusters of neurons and then showing how they relate to each other to create a global picture of brain activity
Thank you Robert. I read the post, didn't see a source, and didn't want to leave bluesky to research. Still going to look it up later though, sounds like some interesting research
Yea. Idk if this is the paper being referred to? Also it's not a human brain model, and the "dimensions" very.. Up to 8 local and 18 long range? Interesting, but super click baited.
Once upon a time I was taught n dimensional calculus. We now have concepts of fractals, holographic universe and the evolution of time. We might begin to take seriously the sensory processing unit we carry around
Since marketers told me that their gaming chairs have "4d armrests", and since "political analysts" told me that a paranoid bald midget was a "4d chess player", I'm always skeptical when someone tell me about something being in more than 3d.
11 dimensions? Rings a bell - String theory and M-theory.
But it's a little suspicious: Someone might have biased things a little so it became 11 dimensions distilled out of all kinds of empirical measures about brain structures on various scales.
These dimensional pockets that exist on small scales within our brains seem very much like the discovery of internal organs. Blood pumped well before any mammal knew what a heart was. This too, however it maps onto reality, will reveal pathways that sort and process our biological needs.
And yet somehow my brain barely made it past Continuing Trigonometry for Meatheads & Jocks. I donβt think I got the full β11-dimensionsβ option from the dealership.
I looked up the publication and man that is interesting. Did they ever define what the levels are? I can only see a metaphor about 1d,2d,3d and 4d time but no actual description of the mental "dimensions"

Unlike Twitter.
Because it is mathematical, so yes it could be an 11 dimensional simulation.
However our real brains are still stuck in four dimensions like the rest of our bodies and are not simulations.
