Aw, no, don't feel dumb, it was too involved and obscure a prompt! Based on blueprints of the CQL!Jingshi that are floating around, I have a headcanon that it's a very old, very minimalist dwelling with not much in the way of plumbing. LWJ bathes at the Cold Spring or the communal bathhouse.
But fairly sophisticated ceramic plumbing DID exist in ancient China! And talismans could boost it even more! So I have another headcanon that LWJ takes advantage of WWX's little finding-himself jaunt to renovate his bathroom with a decadent heated tub so he can pamper him suitably upon his return 😄
But if LWJ fussing over bathroom renovations is not the flavour of sappy you were looking for, I would love anything in the "LWJ prepares for WWX's return" genre, or indeed "WWX returns and sees how LWJ has prepared for him." (Did he prepare a meal? A heartfelt speech? A job opening? A courtship?)
