A friend just returned this bass amp that he borrowed from me in 1991 (not a typo). It was a fantastic-sounding piece of gear, and I hope it still works. Has a lifetime warranty, but the company (Sunn) went out of business years ago.

I've owned several, and they're indestructible. I just put up a picture of my ancient summer outdoor rig. The smaller lightweight stuff is good enough in the winter
I don't have a cabinet these days (I use a MarkBass combo, no room for a separate cabinet) so frankly I'm not sure what I'm going to do with this. But I always loved the way it sounded.
Fuck that lol. So happy to play small amps. My first was 47 lbs and have been working my way down to the current one is 15 lbs (amp + head) but throws 600 watts of glory.
Well, yeah, I have no space for a huge cabinet, and I don't want to carry one around. My little MarkBass combo amp is fine, but I think there's something about a big cabinet that you just can't get from a small amp. In my case that's insane treble.
For sure, the physics of moving that much air is just totally different. And I love playing through stacks when I can, I just can't imagine hauling it to a gig. Cops got called last time I was allowed to use an 8x12.
