Cap 4 isn't a wretched time at the cinema or anything, but it's a toothless movie with a plot that's a simple box-checking rundown of everything you'd expect from the story promised by the trailer and nothing else.

it has great ideas and a main antagonist that knocks it out of the park but every idea including the antagonist in some aspects just isnt compelling in execution
Perfectly put, and exactly my feelings on it also. You can really see where they’ve reshot some things and moved things from one location to another though. Which doesn’t hurt the story, such as it is, but does look odd occasionally…
There's juuust enough in there that I genuinely liked that I'd say I enjoyed mysekf overall, but yeah, you can FEEL the rough journey this one had to the screen.
I think Marvel wanted to go ahead and show Red Hulk because he’d already been blown by a McDonald’s tie-in that they couldn’t stop from releasing. In 2021 they weren’t going to show the multiverse characters in the trailers for No Way Home until Alfred Molina, Jaime Fox & other leaks spoiled it
It tries its best to hit the highs of The Winter Soldier but gets a near miss every time. Probably because the former had much bigger established stakes by comparison... Still enjoyable, but ultimately who's gonna be thinking about it 11 years later...

Knowing that they wasted D-Man was not.
