Thanks Dave, from your experience what would you expect for monthly usage? Not 80% of all adults so not the same number as registered. Honest question, from a GP perspective what proportion of your list do you see a month?

In some cases you don’t need the app for those functions tho - surgeries with own online systems probably accounts for more especially if those predate the nhs app

A really good initiative. But maybe digital exclusion impacts on use. Recent HoL report stated Digital exclusion is a serious problem in UK.

Thanks Samir, exclusion is important to consider but I find that there’s too many assumptions & stereotyping instead of understanding peoples capabilities & preferences. As you say the App can help transform peoples care!

I wish that NHS records and comms were coherent - why so many apps? My GP surgery started using Anima for making appointments with (only) GPs. My local NHS hospital doesn't share my records or communicate via the NHS app. Yet my aunt's London trust does.

The nearby Trust where my husband had cardiac surgery shared some, but not all, records. A consultant at our local has had to ask for scan info from the other, even though the other trust made the referral to the local trust.

I agree being able to book online & even out of hours would be amazingly helpful.
