I think in general our approach of the same generic tools for everyone is by its nature exclusionary & public services need a range of options like a platform approach.
I do a lot of work in the voluntary sector with those who would be described as “seldom heard”
If I had to paraphrase a typical (cynical) response to raising topics like digital inclusion, it would be…”why do they need us to tell us what they already know”
“Why not fix it instead!”
However, in some areas there is a lot of talk about inclusivity and then still a lot of “without us” going on.
It’s wrong to take lived experience and then not remove the barriers to actual meaningful participation.
