shut down the internet, folks, illegal stuff happens and we can't have that. don't worry about fixing the root cause, we need to destroy the person who made the roads.

This would be fair if there was punishment levied towards TOR, but there wasn’t. No part of the internet was hindered — only the person directly facilitating crimes. No one has tried to shut down Google or TOR or any other browser for the content hosted on it. That’s your proverbial “road”.
This is all detracting from my original point though. I’m not super passionate about punishing drug users or dealers. I don’t really think it solves the problem.
My criticism was that Trump pardoned the LARGEST drug trade facilitator and then ALSO wants to use the death penalty on standard dealers.
we can't really talk about pardons until we discuss biden's pardoning of his son despite pledging not to. it may have been the single worst decision on biden's part because it basically opened the door for trump to do whatever he wanted. that's so dangerous.
