Should people avoid chicken meat due to bird flu? Could it be hazardous even after cooking? I’ve been eating virtually no meat recently anyways for budgetary reasons, but just in case I see chicken on sale, I wanna know if it’s bad.

What’s been happening over the past few hours with Bitcoin is exactly why the US should never use it as a store of value. We live off credit. Getting loans would be so much if our assets suddenly dipped 10% every few days, much less the interest rates. Even if it recovers, this doesn’t look good.

I live in a very rural part of central California in the middle of a forest. The nearest settlement is miles away. We had state-funded CalFire folks go by the gravel roads to clear brush and check for dangers back in 2021. Not saying Cali is perfect, but the government HAS done shit against fires.
