I know what you’re getting at, but I don’t even wanna play that game. It wasn’t DEI, full stop. It was his gutting of federal agencies.

This is all detracting from my original point though. I’m not super passionate about punishing drug users or dealers. I don’t really think it solves the problem.
My criticism was that Trump pardoned the LARGEST drug trade facilitator and then ALSO wants to use the death penalty on standard dealers.

This would be fair if there was punishment levied towards TOR, but there wasn’t. No part of the internet was hindered — only the person directly facilitating crimes. No one has tried to shut down Google or TOR or any other browser for the content hosted on it. That’s your proverbial “road”.

He was charged with facilitating/conspiracy of drug distribution. In the road analogy, you either don’t know your roads are being used for drugs or there’s nothing you can do. Ross specifically fostered his platform for the purpose of dealing drugs, among other illegal activities.

The argument is that you can’t pardon this guy AND want to kill all convicted drug dealers. If you think this punishment is too harsh, whatever, but then Trump can’t just also kill all convicted drug dealers that aren’t billionaires.
