Canadians , when you read a Postmedia newspaper like the National Post or the Toronto Sun, you are reading the views of American billionaires, not ordinary Canadians. Boycott Postmedia.

The media conglomerate operates a portfolio of over 120 brands, including multiple national, community, and specialty newspaper publications across print, online, and mobile platforms.
Harper really screwed us for reliable news way back.
Nobody will ever convince me that he wasn't playing the long game for the 2025 election cycle in Canada. He knew what he was doing, and he knew Alberta would be the province who bought most of the lies.
Almost every news outlet in Ontario is right-wing driven now. Every newspaper I look up is now owned by Postmedia all across Ontario ( probably every province now )
We are marinating in right-wing lies.
Be vigilant in what you're reading.
Thanks Harper.
Postmedia runs the same editorials across all it’s banners.
You are reading the identical commentary in cities across our country. The Koch/ Mercer types in the US have this platform via Chatham Asset Management, based in NJ, with strong links to MAGA. It is sludge. Seek out Canadian content.
I grew up in Grey Bruce. I read The Owen Sound Sun Times. It's now owned by Postmedia. Almost every newspaper you would buy at the store is now. I really like listening to podcasts at work. Bubble Pop with Rachel Gilmore, Jann Arden's podcast, The Breakdown, Meidas Touch out of the US has a lot >>>
of Canadian content now, thanks to Trump trying to annex us, plus Charlie Angus is on there sometimes. I'm not sure I could say if there are any unbiased, handheld newspapers anymore. Somebody else will need to answer that.
We subscribe to @nationalobserver.com m for national politics, and climate change related news (and other topics).
Also, @cultmtl.bsky.social and @sprawlcalgary.bsky.social
If you're unsure, check online who owns the news source.
Stay away from anything saying Chatham Assets .... they hold controlling interest in Postmedia. Predominantly right wing and pretty much American Republican.
I'll try to have a look for you after supper and post back here.
The Narwhal is good
Try The National Observer, The Tyee, The Maple.
Outside Canada, I find The Guardian and BBC News are more credible than Postmedia (admittedly a low bar).
Postmedia is so below a bar, that the bar is on the floor and they can't go much further.
Nevermind, they will prove me wrong at any time now.
Damn, they already have.
I quit. LOL
I do.
I have been for several years now.
I also haven't watched televised news for the last 3 years. I pick and choose what I read and share online, especially when it's about politics. I'm not as fussy about sharing fluff pieces ..... unless it's the NP.

That's my list!
Most notably, The Tyee.

La Presse is still independent.
