It is and yet I look at the reporting throughout the election and am not surprised. This was almost certainly the least informed electorate of my lifetime and its getting pretty hard to believe that it wasn't intentional. The question for me now is what, if anything breaks through.

I suspect that part (but only part) is that the political media have no sense of how important and how easy to eff up these computer systems are. But they should be able to see that one man, not an employee of the government, putting his employees in charge of them is undemocratic.
