WHY WOULD YOU POST THIS AT THE VERY MOMENT I'M WRITING A SCENE WHERE I AM MAKING MY TWO FAVOURITE CHARACTERS SUFFER WITH HAVING THEIR HEARTS RIPPED FROM THEM. Too real my friend, too real
As I wrote it, I was like, I am a monster. But good like my knight and scholar, good luck contending with this moment, reckoning with an inevitably broken promise. 😭The Tragedy, the drama, the MELODRAMA, pain to be shared with the world
Truth, and that's why I don't make claims like that. 😋 My books may be multi POV, but there are definitely two characters who suffer more than everyone else 😁
My favourite character from The Cursed Horn is not a major character, but I’m strangely fond of him. He doesn’t suffer, is resigned to his fate, but has a suggested back story on which I shall elaborate in Songs of the River, where he plays a more central role.
It was really, really hard! But it was the right choice for the story. Still, I was so glad to finish that last proofread, knowing I'd never have to watch him die again. 😭
For me, it’s the ones that are just… THE worst. The type of character that you should root against but… they’re just so much fun to write for. “Love to Hate” type of individuals.

Also, facts. 😭
they're the only ones who can handle everything we throw at them😭
Wait, sorry, forgot not everyone writes horror...

That just doesn’t exist yet.
